Anchor Talent has partnered with a mid-sized Engineering firm based in Fort Worth to identify a Structural Engineer to join their team(s) throughout the Greater Austin area. As the Engineer, you provide design solutions by performing 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Revit modeling, prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and technical specifications, within the scope of work. This role requires the ability to work closely with an integrated, multidisciplinary team under tight deadlines and clear, concise communication.


Responsibilities

  • Perform structural calculations (steel, wood, concrete) to meet project and IBC requirements and guidelines
  • Prepare detailed reports, structural designs, and necessary drawings for foundations, structure systems, and superstructures
  • Focus on structural design with steel and wood
  • Review and evaluate work completed by contractors and any 3rd party
  • Provide resolution for challenges and questions from end-client to include budget, material, schedule, and project constraints
  • Conduct administrative tasks such as site visits, assessments, field observations and reports, shop drawing reviews, and responding to project RFIs
  • Ensure project production is completed on time and within set or agreed upon budget
  • Share structural expertise and input during customer's architectural and concept development phases

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • EIT Certification or Structural Engineer license preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Structural Engineering with commercial structures
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, MS Office, BIM, and Revit
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements and permitting
  • Must be a US Citizen (no sponsorship available)
