Senior Accountant/CPA

Anchor Talent has partnered with a local Austin CPA firm to recruit a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and administering full-cycle accounting functions and financial statement preparation for multiple clients advising on accuracy and compliance with GAAP and client needs.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Utilize technical expertise to identify consulting opportunities and propose client solutions

·       Advise, prepare, and maintain financial records and statements for multiple clients, utilizing various accounting systems.

·       Reconcile monthly bank statements and other balance sheet accounts as necessary.

·       Verify and post business transactions to clients’ accounting systems, obtaining their approval.

·       Prepare cash-flow reports and analyze financial information, including assets, liabilities, and capital.

·       Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, P&L’s, and other management reports to summarize current and projected financial positions.

·       Process and administer accounts payable, ensuring accurate vendor statements, proper authorization, and timely invoice payments when needed

·       Manage accounts receivable, ensuring the prompt collection of outstanding payments when required.

·       Administer supporting schedules to ensure compliance with GAAP and/or company requirements, covering areas such as insurance policies, fixed assets and depreciation, prepaids, accruals, goodwill, etc.

·       Process payroll and prepare payroll tax reports as needed.

·       Cultivate and maintain day-to-day client relationships, striving to exceed client expectations.

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of public tax experience working with high profile accounts and clients
  • Proficient in Access and QuickBooks
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills


Compensation and Benefits:

·       Compensation: $90,000k+

·       Remote – can be in office in South Austin

·       401(K) – offered after 1 year

·       PTO – 4 weeks

·       Benefits: medical (80% paid), dental, vision
