Job Description


The Sales Director will be responsible for both leading the delivery of revenue and selling SaaS solutions to the wastewater industry while working closely with sales and executive leadership to develop and enhance overall sales strategy, budget and plan. You’ll be responsible for a full range of sales tasks ranging from new business acquisition to existing client development and expansion.


  • The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, and a proactive problem solver with a genuine passion for consultative selling and experience in both direct and indirect sales.
  • Evangelize, build and develop broader relationships with various stakeholders in the wastewater ecosystem - customers, consultants, policy makers, industry associations etc.
  • Owning the sales funnel including process improvements and tool development to increase efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Meet business objectives by creating and executing the sales department go-to-market and operational strategies.
  • Monitoring and refining sales lead processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success of the sales team.
  • Target and qualify new business sales opportunities by placing proactive outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other tools to target leads.
  • Oversee the entire sales process from the initial interest to holding discovery calls, and closing the deal.
  • Identify potential new sales channels, and enable them to sell, give demos and virtual or in-person presentations, to prospective customers & partners.
  • Monitoring the market and competitor products to provide detailed sales forecasting.
  • Identify improvements in sales plans and execute strategies to achieve sales targets.


Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • Smart water industry background is a bonus.
  • Existing relationships in the Digital Water Industry or with city/government officials specifically in wastewater/environmental technology is a bonus.
  • Proven track record in selling 6-figure deals.
  • Experience in a lead role of a team-selling environment.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and creative strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a complex sales environment.
  • Ambitious desire with bringing new customers and maximizing revenue.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong presentation & negotiation skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce preferred.
  • Flexible and eager to work in a fast-growing, multi-tasking environment.
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Business or Environmental studies & earth science is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25-35% of the time not limited to clients, events, US office in Boulder, CO and HQ office in Israel.
