Job Description

 

You’ll be a key member of the IT team supporting industry-leading medical device management and critical patient-client support services. This role will be involved in all aspects of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) participating as the consistent and knowledgeable focal point throughout projects. You’ll work within project teams consisting of business and IT staff, as well as consultants and offshore testing and development resources. The business analyst will identify problems, diagnose, find root causes, and either solve issues or coordinate resolution with the IT and Operations teams. This is a hands-on position that requires subject matter expertise in the business functions supported by the application.


● Review, analyze and evaluate business user needs and develop requirements for projects and enhancements that are consistent with overall business and IT strategies.

● Evaluate project requests by working with business units to understand, articulate and communicate project scope, costs, and benefits.

● Recommend and specify process and systems improvements through analysis of system incidents, bug fixes, and change requests.

● Perform functional walkthroughs as needed throughout the development process.

● Develop user acceptance test plans and partner with business units through the successful completion of user acceptance testing (UAT).

● Ensure the traceability of discrete requirements and specifications through structured documentation and test plans/cases to ensure appropriate test coverage.

● Analyze current systems capabilities and identify gaps and needs for fixes and new development

● Participate in user requests, trouble tickets, and incident management as a main contributor and solutions designer

● Able to perform SQL queries in support of analysis and troubleshooting

● Be able to gather and document requirements, develop requirements into specifications, and work closely with development teams throughout the build cycle to make sure delivery is exactly as needed




 

Qualifications

 

● 2-5+ years of experience in full SDLC as a Business Analyst with QA responsibilities/project management in the medical devices industry.

● Excellent analytical and documentation skills,  using process and data flows, business logic and rules, use cases, and stories.

● Working knowledge of project management software packages (i.e.: MS Project, Asana, JIRA).

● Detail-oriented and focused on constant improvement in personal skills.

● Ability to work independently and within a team framework.

● Well organized with strong time-management skills.

● Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms and CRMs (Salesforce - Microsoft Dynamic) is required.

● Self-starter with a growth mindset.

● BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.

 

Additional Information

 

Work Hours and Travel Requirements: The candidate must be open to assisting in troubleshooting and analysis in the event of off-hours production problems, as needed.

Travel requirements outside of commuting to our client’s business offices are minimal.
