Manufacturing Engineer:

Our client company develops special purpose machinery for high-speed packaging in the consumer product industries. This position offers a unique opportunity for engineers to create solutions and see the results of their work in operation within a few months in a fast paced, exciting environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Process Development and Optimization: Design and implement assembly processes using lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply continuous improvement methodologies, such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, or 5S, to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
  • Work Cell Design: Create and optimize work cells for assembling capital equipment, ensuring ergonomic and efficient workflow.
  • 3D Modeling and 2D CAD Interpretation: Analyze and interpret 3D models and 2D CAD drawings to develop and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Work routing creation: Create work routing for the machine process that defines the workflow, materials, and labor requirements to machine components from a 2D CAD drawing or 3D model.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain clear process documentation. Train production staff on new procedures and work cells.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Quality Inspection Support: Assist in the identification of non-conformances and implement rework plans to bring parts or assemblies into compliance.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and solve manufacturing and engineering problems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.



  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and 2D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD,).
  • Familiarity with machine shop operations and work order routing.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
