Technical Sales Support, Healthcare Sales

Location: Remote – East Coast preferred

About this Role

 

This has the potential to be an exciting role for the right person. If you have a passion for automated manufacturing equipment for packaging and assembly and would like the ability to travel, but also work remotely, you may be just the person we need. You will be a “go between” from technical team to the sales team, studying complex equipment and communicating change requirements for new products to their most understandable terms.

 

You will be working in a team environment, communicating and problem-solving with minimum supervision. As a successful candidate you will consistently demonstrate concern for order, quality, safety, team commitment and self-control/maturity.

 

You will be organizing, managing, and planning complex projects for the Healthcare Sales Team’s R&D, and project implementation efforts. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

·      What you’ll be doing:

o  Technical Assistance - Providing technical support for the sales team for all products in the Healthcare portfolio. Including customer visits, as well as regular project updates with customers. Aligning priorities and taking the lead on projects with customers and working closely with Project Managers.

o  Customer Support – Providing technical leadership at customer meetings and working closely with plant engineers and machine operators. Learning how equipment functions and providing assistance and recommendations for new or revised product manufacturing.

o  Technical Point of Contact - Serving as a technical contact point with the laboratory, Product Managers, sampling, and customer service on behalf of the sales team to help support and drive qualification and validation of solutions for commercial opportunities.

o  Product Development Support - Work closely with the German plant (other plants as needed) and customers, developing strong proficiency in all products within the portfolio.

o  Regulatory Support – Become knowledgeable of basic FDA requirements, ISO13485, and providing support for the regulatory team as needed.

·      Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

·      Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Education and Experience

 

·      Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Engineering or Business, required.

·      At least five years of related industry experience, including industrial packaging or medical device packaging, automated assembly equipment required.

·      Basic knowledge of related FDA regulations.
