The main responsibilities include:

·      Partners with the CEO, President and Division Leaders to assess organizational performance against the annual budget and company’s long-term strategic goals.

·      Division Leader who oversees the Corporate Services Division and sets strategic objectives and evaluates progress toward objectives. 

·      Develop and continuously improve tools and systems to provide financial and operational information to the President and make recommendations on strategy and operations.

·      Oversee the accounting team and ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.

·      Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports, monthly financial statements and team reports. Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements. Review month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation.

·      Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.

·      Oversee financing strategies and activities as well as vendor management including but not limited to, insurance contracts, CPA firm, benefit providers, banks and other financial institutions.

  • Manage, establish priorities, schedule daily work flow and provide consistent and constructive feedback while monitoring the progress of employees.
  • Developing team by identifying training and resource needs and recommending promotions and terminations; completing and performing performance management reviews for subordinates.
  • Any other special projects, tasks and duties as assigned by the CEO and President.

 

Qualifications we are seeking:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting or Business Management. CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.
  • 10 + years of Leadership and managerial experience; responsible for workload and workflow for direct reports.
  • At least 5 years experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably with a nonprofit.
  • Proficient with technology; Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Experience with accounting and finance software packages.
  • Analytical, proactive problem solving skills: techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Accountability: ability to accept responsibility and be accountable for actions and conduct.
  • Confidentiality; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information and that of clients.
  • Team oriented: Positive and professional, able to show consideration for and maintain good working relations with co-workers and remains opens to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things.

Organized with demonstrated attention to detail; able to manage, prioritizes and brings to completion multiple projects
