SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing Engineering drawings, straightforward solutions to problems, routine engineering support to operations and sales, provide estimates and scopes of work for new and proposed projects and manage projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Determine project objectives and scope by reviewing proposals and plans, conferring with management.

 Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards; completing technical studies.

 Develop product designs with CAD software (SolidWorks).

 Confirm product performance through various testing methods.

 Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems when necessary.

 Prepare estimates, budgets, schedules, materials and contract specifications for projects.

 Coordinate design and production activities with engineering, production, quality and sales and manages projects to ensure on budget and on schedule completion.

 Appropriately communicate with Management on status and development of projects assigned and/or in progress.

 Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following policies, procedures and regulations.

 Maintain project database in a traceable manner that allows management to understand the risks and limits associated with each and ensure the data is backed up as necessary.

 Serve as a liaison between manufacturing (internal and external) and sales to ensure the accomplishment of profitable, marketable product lines.

 Foster and operate in a continuous improvement environment.

 Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

 BSME Degree or equivalent education and/or experience required.

 Minimum 2 years of previous project management/engineering experience required.

 Diesel engine/diesel engine filtration experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

 At least 2 years of experience in Solid Works Design software.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office System (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

 Experience in Auto Cad Design software.

 Ability to interface with others with effective results.
