Histotech (Healthcare Sciences) 

Position Title: Histotech 

Location: 1 hour East of Raliegh, NC 

Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:30 am - 2:00 pm 

Job Description 

Responsibilities of the Histotech include: 

• Properly embed processed tissue with correct orientation. 
• Cutting paraffin blocks of various tissue types/size. 
• Preparation of reagents and monitor inventory. 
• Operate and maintain instrumentation. 
• Maintains laboratory quality assurance and quality control records. 
• Comply with safety policies and standard operating procedures. 

Histotech (Healthcare Sciences) 

Job Requirements 

Successful candidates for the Histotech include: 

• Certified HT or HTL (ASCP) preferred. 
• Meets CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing. 
• 1+ years of previous experience 
• Works with minimal supervision 
• 1 year of Histology experience, preferred.
