Job Title: Histology Technologist - M-F Day Shift + Call Rotation 

  

Location: Just outside of Tampa, FL area (30 Miles) and 1 Hour from Orlando, FL

Job Responsibilities Include:   

  • Responsible to the Histology Team Leader/and Anatomic Pathology Supervisor and works in a self-directed work team performing various procedures on tissue samples 
  • Works closely with the Pathologists and is responsible to practice within the scope of their duties and licensure in accordance with approved policies, procedures and protocols 
  • Follows all safety practices and maintains competency with skills to ensure high quality testing services. 
  • Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. 
  • Contributes to positive outcomes and meets the vision and cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior and laboratory expertise. 
  • Block count per day is around 500 for histology.  

Requirements:  

 

Education - Highschool or equivalent. Associate degree. B.S Degree or equivalent in Histology with one-year clinical internship from an approved training program 

 

License/Certification - Certification from an accredited Histotechnology training program. Must be eligible for OR have a Clinical Histology Technologist license in Florida
