Clinical/Medical Technologist (Healthcare Sciences)
Job Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for performing all sections of the laboratory including phlebotomy, and all necessary tasks to keep the laboratory functioning.
Position Title: Clinical/Medical Technologist
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM
Other Jobs Duties & Skills Needed:
- Perform microscopic examination of peripheral blood smear and urine sediments
- Analyze patient testing in all areas of the laboratory: hematology, chemistry, immunology, and urinalysis
- Perform Phlebotomy
- Operate and maintain analyzers/instruments/equipment.
- Handles Billings (CPT) codes for the tests performed/completed daily
Clinical/Medical Technologist (Healthcare Sciences)
Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Clinical/Medical Technologist include:
- Professional with an associate degree in medical technology, or MLT program, or BS in the clinical laboratory field.
- Certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP MT, MLT, or MLS) or equivalent (e.g., American Medical Technologists)
- Valid WA State Dept. of Health Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification
