Job Description 

Job Title: Histotech – Temporary/Temporary to Permanent or Permanent – Shift starts at 8am or 9am, 5XDays per week and 8-hour shifts (13 weeks assignment)

Job Responsibilities Include:  

• Processing, embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping. 
• Accessioning all specimens along with other team members. 
• Performing special stains, following protocols. 
• Putting slides together with requisitions – double checking for accuracy. 
• Cutting control slides. 
• Quality control. 
• Immunohistochemistry (IHC) 
• Must adhere to all department protocols and procedures. 
• Must be reliable, dependable and have an excellent attendance history. 
• Must be a team player. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:  

Education - Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in histology or related healthcare science field 

License - ASCP Certification preferred not required
