Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist (Healthcare Sciences) 

Job Responsibilities 

In this role you will be responsible for phlebotomy, patient testing, and all necessary tasks to keep the laboratory functioning.  

Position Title: Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist 

Schedule: 5:30 am to 2:00 pm (S/S off) 

Other Jobs Duties & Skills Needed: 

• Perform phlebotomy as a main member of the phlebotomy team 
• Perform urinalysis and serology testing 
• Operate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any minor instrument malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance 
• Perform clerical duties that support the operation of the laboratory

Job Requirements 

Successful candidates for the Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist include: 

• Professional with an associate degree from accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.  College degree in science may be substituted on a year-for-year basis 
• Valid WA State Dept. of Health Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification  
• Certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP MT, MLT, or MLS) or equivalent (e.g., American Medical Technologists) is required
