Our client is a privately held, industry leader in the design, marketing, sourcing and distribution of 20+ brands, in over 20K stores in 6 countries.

In business 43 Years they are focused on fashion product variety, brands, licensing, and private labels.

In this role you'll work with Design Team supporting the Men's Activewear division focusing on all categories in Activewear including: Running, Outdoor, Performance, Training and Athleisure. 

We are currently looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Associate or Associate ready to become designer. 
• 3-5 yrs experience in Men’s activewear or related categories.
• Experience designing for or working with off price stores a plus.
• Ideal candidate should have knowledge of current trending Men's Activewear Brands and emerging trends in fabric, style and color. 
• Assist in the development of seasonal development as well as the ability to work with buyers on specific projects. 
• Experience independently approving lab dips, strike offs and the potential to have ownership of your own product categories depending on experience.
• Ability to create and provide details for tech packs.
• Discussion making skills when in production fittings. Ability to make recommendations regarding FIT that are brand appropriate.
• Must have excellent sketching ability in Illustrator.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop. Excel experience is a plus.
• Ability to design graphics or packaging is not required but preferred.
• Knowledge of fabric/yarn/trim.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others and cross-function with teams.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and understand the business, open to feedback and growth.
• Ideal candidate should have experience being in showroom appointments and working with buyers.

We are a casual but professional environment and we are looking for someone who wants to help continue to grow and build our brands. 

Position is in-office at least 3-4 days a week in Midtown Manhattan.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
