Insurance/Scheduling Coordinator - [Back up]

Main duties responsibilities


  • AR insurance
  • Patient collections/disputes (answering patient collections disputes and answering patient account questions)
  • Checking eligibility/preparing insurance benefits breakdown (office has their own sheet - entering patient information, especially insurance information into Eaglesoft/patient follow-up to get insurance information if not in system) *For the insurance breakdown, attach document to Eaglesoft Smartdoc and also put frequency info into Eaglesoft schedule, appointment notes
  • Updating the insurance coverage table in PMS
  • Reaching out to unscheduled treatment patients/filling schedule to production
  • Overflow/answering phone calls
  • Email/text follow-up with patients
  • Submitting pre-authorizations
  • Submitting claims of previous day's treatment (will need to double check correct providers/codes)


Schedule: Short term project (2 months and 2 weeks while Office Manager is on medical leave) 30-40hrs/week - Matching as close as possible to the office hours of Mon, Weds, and Thurs 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Tues and Fri 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. PST time zone (Possibility of position transitioning into a part-time long-term position)




Salary: $20-$27/hour

  • 5+ years of dental front office and scheduling experience REQUIRED!
  • Eaglesoft experience is REQUIRED!
  • Vyne experience is advantageous (used for claim submission)
  • Weave experience is advantageous (used for phones and patient communication)
  • Zocdoc experience is advantageous (used for marketing)
  • Experience/knowledge of Insurance AR, insurance claims, and disputes
  • Office Manager experience is advantageous
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Experienced scheduler
  • Great customer service
  • Great attention to detail (detail-oriented)
  • Experience with PPO insurance
  • Punctual and excellent attendance record
