OVERVIEW OF PROJECTS:

Projects include public sector (municipalities, cities, government agencies, state, counties, cities, schools, utilities, power, gas, sewer, storm drains, water, flood control, transportation); residential (single family, multi-family, apartments, custom homes); commercial (office, industrial, warehouses, distribution, hotels, retail, restaurants, mixed use developments).

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs and/or manages a large project or group within the company such as geosciences, engineering, or and environmental discipline, or oversees several smaller business groups. Active in business development for major contracts or clients. Has overall responsibility for budget, manpower and other resources of all projects within business emphasis. Coordinates support to branch offices.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

·      Manages and directs an activity group, or groups, or large projects in accordance with company goals and objectives.

·      Develops business, technical, marketing, and staffing plans for an activity group.

·      Manages budget, staff, and other resources. 

·      Develops and monitors activity group budgets. 

·      Plans, manages, and directs staff activities. 

·      Coordinates and manages purchasing, subcontracting and other relevant activities.

·      Advises management on activity group performances.

·      Provides advice and technical expertise in resolving highly complex problems.

·      Recruits, selects, develops, and trains a competent staff to achieve company goals and objectives. 

·      Provides for technical development of assigned staff.

 

·      Coordinates market development and obtains contracts for the company/activity group.

·      Develops and implements company goals, policies, practices, and procedures.

·      Establishes effective operative guidelines to provide accountability in performance reporting against stated objectives.

·      Maintains technical competence through participation in trade organizations, conferences, and/or seminars. 

·      Performs other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

·      Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and a minimum of twelve years of progressively advancing experience in the same or related technical fields, or a master’s degree with ten years of experience.

·      Professional license.

·      40 hours OSHA 29CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Environmental Health and Safety Training.

·      OSHA 29CFR 1910.134 Medical Annual Monitoring.

·      Demonstrated competence in principal duties at SR Associate level.

·      Ability to manage business activity groups or satellite offices in accordance with the company goals and objectives and to prepare complex technical proposals and reports.

·      Perform effective marketing activities and negotiate complex technical contracts.

·      Proven ability to manage a large group of people or a multi-disciplinary project.

·      Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

·      Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

·      Base salary plus performance bonus.
