SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER, PE

COOS BAY, OR

 

CLIENT PROFILE:

Our client is a multidisciplined engineering firm with 110 employees spread across offices located in Oregon and Northern California. Their disciplines include civil engineering, environmental, planning, permitting, geosciences, surveying, biological sciences, materials testing and inspection.

 

SUMMARY:   

The Civil Engineer, PE, is directly responsible for civil engineering projects for municipal and private development clients. Projects include site development and low impact development; roadways and bike trails; water treatment, distribution, and water storage; and wastewater treatment and collection systems.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Develop and assess civil design documents including, but not limited to site development plans, local roads, complete streets, drainage, and ADA compliant intersections, etc.

·      Ensure project costs, schedule, and performance targets are achieved.

·      Serve as project manager/liaison between technical resources and clients, including attending client meetings, town halls, etc.

·      Engaging in business development efforts to support the development of project pipeline.

·      Mentor and coach more junior engineers and project managers to develop staff.

 

Education and Experience:

·      Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

·      7+ years of civil experience in municipal engineering, roadway design, hydraulic design, and project management.

·      Project management/coordination skills and desire to help develop others.

·      Experience with design and modeling software tools, specifically AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

 

Preferred

·      Site development and MS4 stormwater regulations.

·      Construction management.

·      Supervising or mentoring others.

·      Working in consulting.

 

 

 

Certificates and Licenses:

·      Active Oregon P.E. license.

·      A valid OR drivers’ license (Class C) with a satisfactory driving clearance.
