As a Robotics Welding Engineer, you will lead the integration, training, and support of cutting-edge automation systems. This is a full-time onsite position with a growing organization in Indianapolis, IN that requires 45% travel annually.

 

What you’ll do

  • Implement and optimize Universal Robots and Fronius welding within a customer industrial environment.
  • Oversee training for efficient and safe operation of robotic systems and welding equipment.
  • Provide ongoing support, communication, troubleshooting for automation and robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine robotic applications for customer needs.
  • Coordinate customer equipment repairs and order replacement parts.
  • Interface with customers to provide the best accessories or consumables for their application.

Experience Needed:

  • Typically an engineering degree or certification in robotics, automation, or related field.
  • Prior experience with collaborative robots and welding systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes like MIG and TIG.
  • Experience in plasma and oxyfuel cutting, UR, and Fronius equipment is a plus.
  • Certification such as AWS or CWI is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in the operation/programming of 6-axis robots and external axes functionalities.
