Roger Trinh Talent Solutions is collaborating on a unique project that involves supporting a buildout for a cohort comprising Amgen, BMS, AbbVie, Merck, GSK, Novo, AstraZeneca, and Bayer. We seek remote Key Account Managers to join a growing clinical and scientific affairs team. These roles offer autonomy and high visibility with executives, providing ample growth opportunities.


Overview:


The champion will be a key member the sales team to assist in logistical and strategic support with potential customers and partners. They use their scientific knowledge to help manage proposals and coordinate various sales-oriented processes.


The Key Account Manager is responsible for researching and identifying leads, qualifying targets, communicating directly with customers and internal stake holders, and providing market feedback, with an overarching goal of diversifying and expanding sales. The primary focus is members of the Cohart and other large pharma and biotechs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support & management of strong pipeline of new and existing business opportunities through direct and indirect customer contact.
  • Ability to identify/answer scientific issues, communicate with a team of account managers, project managers, and interact with scientific personnel.
  • Mining internet sites and databases and other sources for contact information.
  • Introduce and close deals.
  • Managing data entry into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Scheduling appointments, and managing sales-oriented logistics.
  • Preparing internal reports & analysis.
  • Address customer requests for information and work with internal sales team to transfer opportunities leading to project proposals.
  • Manage relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Attend trade shows and meetings.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to drive sales of our consulting services and proprietary insights, enhancing biopharma R&D efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships, utilizing their leadership team to engage clients at a strategic level.
  • Understand and address each account's unique needs, crafting strategies that cater to accelerating their innovation in precision medicine.
  • Provide feedback to Leadership on market trends, client needs, and product feedback, maintaining a solution-oriented approach.


Key Relationships:


  • Reports to: Chief Business Officer
  • Other key relationships: Clinical Science and Data Science team and key scientific groups at a world renown Academic Research Institute.


Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 5 years in Business Development and Sales within the Life Sciences sector, specifically managing lead accounts and relationships in Pharma/Biotech.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with companies that service Life Sciences in Research & Development and/or Real World Data.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering consistent sales results within Biopharma accounts.
  • Expertise in navigating complex client organizations and establishing credibility as a trusted advisor.
  • Deep understanding of the drug development life cycle and established relationships with key Biopharma industry stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of molecular data, artificial intelligence in drug discovery, and precision medicine solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Business discipline required; Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or Healthcare certification) preferred.
