Life Science Sales Representative

Location: West Coast (California, Oregon, Washington)

They’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Representative to join their team and help expand our presence on the West Coast.


Position Overview: As a Life Science Sales Representative, you will be a crucial part of the sales team, responsible for driving new business development and nurturing client relationships. You will leverage your expertise in sales to engage potential clients, demonstrate the value of our products, and close deals. Your role will involve managing all stages of the sales funnel maintaining a balanced approach across each stage and successfully closing deals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify and target potential clients within the life sciences sector, including those specializing in pathology imaging, microscopy imaging, and bioscience. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Navigate the five stages of the sales funnel—lead generation, qualification, needs assessment, proposal, and closing. Allocate time and resources effectively across each stage, with a strong emphasis on closing deals.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs and pain points of potential clients. Articulate the unique value proposition of our SaaS solutions and imaging technologies.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations. Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and post-sale.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands. Use this knowledge to position our products effectively and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics. Contribute to setting sales goals and achieving targets.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular reports and updates to the sales team and management.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record of success in sales, with significant experience in life science sales, SaaS, and imaging technologies. Prior experience in pathology imaging, microscopy imaging, or related bioscience fields is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of the five-stage sales funnel and ability to manage each stage effectively. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and drive revenue growth.
  • Location: Based on the West Coast (California, Oregon, or Washington). Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and general office software. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
