·       Manages multiple quotes and the Request for Quote (RFQ) process with a fundamental understanding of the customer’s business needs and our sales process. Utilizes a conceptual understanding of incremental margin, fixed/variable cost, absorption, and departmental rate determination.

·       Manages, communicates and makes recommendations to improve the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Customer Produced Product Transfer (CPPT) process on assigned programs. Assesses risk, develops solutions, implements change and communicates responsibilities across organization.

·       Understands roles of functional departments, targets potential areas of concern and communicates issues to upper management.

·       Administers assigned contracts, communicates customer concerns, and recommends solutions.

·       Assesses and adapts the company’s business model to align with the customer’s business model.

·       Forms and manages cross-functional launch teams and drives regular team meetings to review progress. Generates and tracks cross-functional action item list and NPI checklist item archive.

·       Maintains cash flow, program timeline, resource and milestone charts.

·       Generates, maintains and publishes weekly reports on cost, quality and delivery.

·       Communicates complex business and technical matters to all levels of the organization in report and action form.

·       Develops and ensures adherence to project and program budgets.

·       Organizes project-related activities and communications among departments, customers, vendors and the community.

·       Participates with other senior managers in establishing strategic organizational plans and objectives.

·       Directs the activities of CFT and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.

·       Interacts regularly with executives, customers and outside regulatory agencies.

·       Drives strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend KeyTronicEMS capabilities in manufacturing and engineering services.

·       Reviews aggregate program proposals or plan to determine time frame, funding requirements, asset management, procedures for accomplishing program, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of program.

·       High level contact for negotiations with customer on all contracts, pricing and other business items. Maybe come the primary contact for new or critical customer programs.

·       Other assignments as designated by management.

·       Comply with all company policies and Quality System documents.

·       Follow all ESD policies and procedures

 

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS 

 

·       Attends meetings as needed to support organization activity.

·       Interfaces with customers, purchasing and program managers as required.

·       Performs other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.

 

SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED 

 

Is supervised by the Plant Manager.  

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

 

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related fields of study.

·       Seven (7) years of experience in manufacturing, automated manufacturing or any other highly regulated industry.

·       Experience managing customer satisfaction as well as managing the Customer Satisfaction Survey collection and related reviews and corrective actions.

·       Experience with reviewing high-level program reports and presentations for management, customers and others stakeholders.

·       Participates in Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis, responsible for tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on results.

·       Knowledge of cost accounting and proficiency in managing to timelines.

·       At least five years of experience in cross-functional project management (in two or more organizations); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·       Ability to clearly communicate and document communications both verbally and in written form. 

·       Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, engineers, clients and customers.

·       Applied business and economic analysis.

·       Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  

·       Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

·       Ability to operate a computer and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project for managing reports. 

·       Must possess a fundamental understanding of the business practice from the sales process through production.

·       Must be able to travel as required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing, automated manufacturing or any other highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of materials procurement
  • Master’s degree in business
  • Must have a strong technical background.
  • Experience in Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry desired.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms.  The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy.  The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times.
