Job summary

Provide leadership and management for the Quality Management System and sustain the quality policy and culture for the entire site. Manage quality assurance, control processes, and programs by developing, implementing, and administering quality standards and procedures assuring product quality, continual improvement, and customer satisfaction. As part of the site leadership team, this position is one of the primary contacts covering a wide range of issues with suppliers, internal/external customers and with KeyTronic Corporate Quality requirements.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Manage external/internal site audit processes and associated improvement cycle.
  • Leads overall Quality function as QMS Management Representative for the site, inclusive of; Quality Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, and Supplier Quality.
  • Leads Quality Assurance teams and training.
  • Leads Warranty Return process and activity.
  • Leads monitoring and maintenance of site Quality Metrics.
  • Leads site product and process quality improvement.
  • Management focus on driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required realizing their full potential.
  • Ensure Quality team involvement in applicable product planning and manufacturing release processes.
  • Ensure Quality participation and provide quality input for internal/external meetings or presentations.
  • Ensure management and control of non-conforming material/product process.
  • Ensure site compliance to applicable QMS documentation and communication of QMS effectiveness.
  • Ensure site compliance to applicable quality control processes (i.e. calibration, ESD, MSD, etc.).
  • Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 5 - 10%).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

·       A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Seven (7) years Quality role is required; Three (3) or more as a Quality Manager is preferred. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.


Other Qualifications: 

  • Advanced knowledge and implementation experience in applicable QMS standards and regulations (i.e. ISO 9000, AS9100, FDA QSR, TL9000, etc.).

·       Advanced knowledge in applicable industry standards (IPC, J-STD, etc.).

·       Capability to assess, manage, develop, and mentor Quality organization personnel.

·       Knowledgeable in Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools.

·       Expert communication and presentation skills.

·       Knowledgeable in data analysis tools.

·       Strong cross-functional team building skills.

·       Ability to lead and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

·       Ability to quantify and assess benefits/risks of process improvements.

·       General office equipment and materials.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times; along with time spent on the production floor, where environment can be louder due to machines running.
