Job Title: Contracts Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join the senior leadership team in Auckland. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the negotiation, administration, and management of all contracts related to the construction projects. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that contracts are effectively managed to minimize risks and maximize project success.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Negotiate and draft contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

·       Review contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and propose solutions.

·       Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and legal requirements.

·       Collaborate with project teams to assess contract performance and resolve disputes.

·       Manage contract changes, claims, and variations in a timely and efficient manner.

·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

·       Provide guidance and support to project managers on contractual matters.

·       Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to contract management.

·       Qualifications and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, Law, or related field.

·       Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry.

·       Strong understanding of construction contracts, including NZS 3910 and NZS 3916.

·       Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to analyse complex issues and make sound decisions.

·       Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office suite.

·       Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCMP, CCM) are a plus.
