POSITION OBJECTIVE
C.R. Jackson is actively looking for an Asphalt Paving Superintendent to join their team. The ideal Asphalt Paving Superintendent candidate will have both asphalt paving supervision experience and a wide range of heavy highway/paving industry knowledge. You will spend your time overseeing multiple asphalt paving crews at a time, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the day to day operation. You will be expected to spend the vast majority of your time on job sites with the crew leading, coaching, teaching, and supporting the crew members in a variety of ways. Your role as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent would be a tremendous opportunity to positively impact the culture of C.R. Jackson and the lives of everyone who you come into contact with.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead asphalt foremen during day to day operations
- Model and maintain the safety culture of C.R. Jackson
- Communicate with key internal and external partners for project delivery
- Coach and support the crews to provide a timely and safe delivery of a quality product every shift
- Plan and schedule the logistics of the day to day operation, including communicating effectively and efficiently
- Train and develop the individual members of the paving crews, providing both encouragement and accountability
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- 5-10+ years of asphalt supervision experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated and driven to achieve results and solve problems
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain composure in a high pressure environment
- Servant leader, willing to serve others and respect everyone
- Active Listening skills
- High level of focus and depth of understanding the industry
- Comfortable with technology
