POSITION OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the commercial team at Shoreline Construction. The ideal Senior Project Manager candidate will be an entrepreneurial construction professional looking to join a close-knit, hard-working and growing team in Bluffton, SC. In this role, you will provide leadership within the commercial division and own project outcomes for all commercial projects. Your position will fully implement and manage the profitability and administration of projects. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Shoreline Construction.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management working with a Commercial General Contractor.
  • Proficiency in required construction technology and scheduling software.
  • Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project.
  • Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project.
  • Ability to prepare the project budget, GMP, or hard bid.
  • Ability to assist the Marketing team with presentation and marketing activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with crews and customers.
  • Proficient in Construction Project Management software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.


POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating a commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Leads plan and implementation of buyout schedule. Verifies pricing and scope, identifies successful bidders, provides gap analysis against initial scope, and manages issuance of subcontracts.
  • Manages the submittal schedule setup. Coordinates priorities with the team; reviews and approves all shop drawings and samples prior to submittal to architects or engineers.
  • Ensures approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to the project team per the project schedule and the contract.
  • Prepares, submits, and obtains owner/architect approval for change requests.
  • Leads various meetings such as monthly project reviews, progress meetings, and OAC (Owner Architect) meetings.
  • Prepares project schedule with the Project Superintendent. Gathers input from the project team and utilizes Lean principles as appropriate.
  • Develops and updates project schedules for both preconstruction and construction activities.
