Our client is the largest Asian supermarket chain in United States with more than 90 locations across the nation and over $1 Billion in revenue. They are currently seeking a Korean/English bilingual candidate for the Legal Assistant position.


Responsibilities, but not limited to:

 

  • Conduct legal research on cases and gather pertinent legal information.
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations in legal documents.
  • Compile, proofread and edit drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, policies and other legal documents.
  • Monitor, study and develop written summaries of proposed and enacted legislation, regulations, court decisions, industry guidelines, trade journals and other relevant publications.
  • Assist with case preparation including opening and closing arguments, and aiding in court motions or pleadings.
  • Daily record keeping with electronic and physical filing of caseloads.
  • Analyze and summarize documents.
  • Assist with the administration and management of workflow.
  • General administrative duties i.e. answering correspondence and taking telephone calls.
  • Manage various legal cases that arise from store operations including compiling documents such as accident reports, CCTV video footages, cleaning logs, and etc.
  • Compile and track all invoices pertaining to legal fees.
  • Manage billing for stores.
  • File annual reports, articles of organization, articles of incorporation, and other forms related to creating, maintaining and dissolving legal entities.
  • Manage all aspects of POS Data System maintenance process used by Food Court.
  • Tenant performance control including analyzing tenant sales revenue, service quality and issues.


Qualification / Requirements:


  • Minimum Bachelor degree (BS or BA)
  • Fluent in English & Korean is a Must
  • Legal research experience
  • Experience in drafting legal and business documents
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal documents
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Lexis-Nexis, PACER, Westlaw and other legal research sites
