Our client is a privately owned medical logistics service company based in Olive Branch,

MS that provides temperature sensitive storage, warehousing, and rapid distribution services for

perishable, biopharmaceutical, and medical materials throughout the United States.


Our client seeks a full-time Director of Finance and Human Resources to lead a team across a broad spectrum

of corporate administrative functions. This includes all operational finance and general ledger accounting

functions, as well as planning and strategic initiatives. This dynamic role also includes oversight of all

human resources activities. This Director level role will be a senior position, participating in

and leading strategic initiatives across departments.


Responsibilities

  • Managing the general ledger, including the related monthly close process and related financial reporting
  • Managing all cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Coordinating with CPA firm in all matters related to financial statement audit and tax returns
  • Managing the budgeting process, including its development and tracking
  • Analyzing financial data and developing insights to inform business decisions and to surface opportunities for continual financial improvement
  • Coordinating with outsourced human resource provider in the processing of payroll, administering of employee benefits, reviewing employee benefit options, making related mandatory filings, etc.
  • Overseeing a broad “People Program” that reflects the prioritization of employees: recruiting, onboarding, training, developing and evaluating performance
  • Developing and maintaining detailed process documentation across all related functions, and revisiting such documentation, as necessary, in the pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Managing other corporate administrative functions such as state and regulatory filings, property and casualty insurance renewals, contract negotiation, etc.
  • Participating in cross-departmental project teams to support strategic initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of finance or accounting experience
  • Thorough understanding of financial and accounting practices, procedures, and regulations
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with human resource functions is highly preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to both operate independently and work collaboratively with others
  • Highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality, including the ability to exercise discretion with sensitive information and apply sound judgment in making decisions
