Our manufacturing and distribution client is hiring a Sr. Shipping Lead in Southaven. They are a global leader in comprehensive motor technology, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in manufacturing. As a Sr. Shipping Lead, you will play a crucial role in optimizing processes.

Role Overview:

The Sr. Shipping Lead oversees shipping operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory and shipments. They coordinate with carriers, manage ERP databases, supervise staff, and maintain warehouse inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of shipping, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.
• Optimize shipping processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
• Utilize the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage shipping orders, track inventory movements, and generate shipping documents.
• Implement quality control measures for outgoing shipments.
• Address any shipping errors promptly and work to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as manufacturing and materials management.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping efficiency and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Proven experience with warehouse, operations and enterprise management systems and processes.
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
• LEAN / Six Sigma certification a plus.
