Our client is a privately owned medical logistics service company based in Olive Branch, MS that provides temperature sensitive storage, warehousing and rapid distribution services for perishable, biopharmaceutical and medical materials throughout the United States.


Our client seeks an IT Solutions Specialist to provide hardware, software, and network support to all team members, and to assist other IT team members as required. In addition, the IT Solutions Specialist will be expected to aid the Director of Business Systems in the management, organization and oversight of corporate IT infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • On-site and Remote Support:
  • General IT helpdesk functions
  • Initial setup of new users and equipment
  • Ensuring all hardware is accessible via remote management software
  • Troubleshooting and resolving end-user hardware/software issues
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) support
  • Testing and evaluating new technology
  • IT Administration Support
  • Documenting related systems, processes, and procedures
  • Keeping an updated inventory of IT assets
  • Administering employee training for IT hardware and software


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of broad-based IT experience, including scripting experience
  • A two or four-year technical degree in computer science, information technology or related field
  • A fast internet connection at home, in the event remote work is necessary
  • This position requires working knowledge of and experience with many, but not necessarily all, of these technical areas:
  • SQL / PowerShell scripting
  • TCP/IP transmission
  • WAN/LAN
  • VPN configuration
  • VLAN technologies
  • Server Virtualization
  • Microsoft 365 apps
  • Windows Active Directory
  • Email and server technologies
  • Network security standards
  • Domain setup, including loading servers/workstations from scratch

  • Ability to analyze and accurately report software issues to core vendors
  • Ability to both operate independently and work collaboratively with various teams across the organization, managing multiple projects simultaneously
