Job Title: Laboratory Operator

Reports to: Quality Manager

Schedule: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·        Training, certification, or degree from a technical college or vocational school

·        1-year experience in related position (job or apprenticeship)

·        Knowledge using Microsoft Suite

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·        Prefer proven working experience in a lab environment

·        Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment

·        Computer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information Systems

·        Accuracy and close attention to detail

·        Strong analytical judgement 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Under direct supervision, assists with the setup, calibration, and operation of equipment used in quality control. Works from verbal or written instructions, control plans, work instructions. Inspects production operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions. Performs simple routine maintenance and cleaning. No prior experience required. Frequently reports to a quality manager.
