Our client is a privately owned medical logistics service company based in Olive Branch,

MS that provides temperature sensitive storage, warehousing and rapid distribution services for

perishable, biopharmaceutical and medical materials throughout the United States.


Our client seeks a full-time Senior Accounting Associate to work on all accounting and financial aspects of the organization. This includes all operational finance and accounting functions, as well as planning and strategy initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the general ledger, including executing the monthly close process and related financial reporting
  • Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Onboarding vendors and maintaining related documentation
  • Work closely with CPA firm in all matters related to financial statement audit and tax returns
  • Assisting in the budgeting process, including its development and tracking
  • Analyzing financial data and developing insights to inform business decisions and to surface opportunities for continual financial improvement
  • Developing and maintaining detailed process documentation across all related functions, and revisiting such documentation, as necessary, in the pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Working on ad hoc projects, including being the accounting representative on cross departmental initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting practices, procedures, and regulations
  • Advanced experience and understanding of Excel is required
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other general ledger software is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to both operate independently and work collaboratively with others
  • Highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality, including the ability to exercise discretion with sensitive information and apply sound judgment in making decisions
