Job Description: Tech Lead / Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead the backend engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
• Architecture & Design: Architect, design, and implement scalable and efficient backend systems and APIs.
• Project Management: Oversee engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and UX/UI designers, to deliver high-quality features.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Problem-Solving: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, and conduct regular code reviews.
• Best Practices: Develop and implement coding standards, best practices, and processes to improve team productivity and software quality.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
• Decision Making: Participate in technical decision-making processes and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed systems and APIs.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer or Tech Lead, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
• API Development: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• DevOps Skills: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Software Principles: Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a plus.
