Job Title: Territory Sales Representative


Job Summary:

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales activities within a defined geographic area or market segment. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, maintaining customer relationships, conducting product demonstrations, and expanding the customer base. The representative will collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, Applications Manager, and other departments to achieve sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to develop both long and short-range sales strategies, forecasts, budgets, and goals for the assigned territory.

2. Engage in extensive customer communication through various channels, including phone, written correspondence, and in-person visits involving travel (by automobile or air) to customer sites.

3. Organize machinery demonstrations at existing client locations and Technical Center sites in coordination with the Applications Manager.

4. Generate budget quotations and detailed proposals for potential clients.

5. Drive the expansion of the customer base by identifying and pursuing new leads and opportunities.

6. Efficiently plan and execute field travel to visit geographically grouped customers and prospects.

7. Prepare visit reports for review by the Regional Sales Manager.

8. Participate in industry events, trade shows, study tours, and association functions to showcase products and build industry relationships.

9. Gather and share competitive information to enhance the company's market position.

10. Maintain effective communication with the Installation and Customer Service Department to ensure a seamless transition from sales to customer satisfaction.

11. Provide month-end reports, including forecasts and win/loss data, to the Regional Sales Manager.

12. Assist in advertising promotions and initiatives as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.

13. Manage and update the customer database for the assigned sales territory.


Qualifications:

- Strong background in engineering, marketing, or business.

- Minimum of two years of sales or application experience in the metal industry, preferably related to capital equipment sales.

- Previous experience with Bystronic Products is desirable.

- Proficiency in applications, PC, and CNC knowledge.

- Experience with CRM databases (e.g., ACT or equivalent).

- Ability to travel up to approximately 50% of the time via car or air travel.

- Clean driving record and ability to rent cars for travel.

- Successful completion of credit background and drug test screening.
