The Dahill Group is thrilled to be working with one of the most respected and innovative clients in the oil & gas sector seeking an exceptional Manager of Engineering to join their team. This role plans, organizes, and directs the engineering team and its contractors to meet our client’s advancement into providing innovative technology to facilitate the conversion to natural gas fuel services ranging from CNG compression to field gas treating and processing.  The Manager of Engineering will work closely with the Director of Operations and District Managers to ensure all crews are running smoothly from an engineering and equipment perspective. The Manager of Engineering will be responsible for key equipment and facility design, procurement, and construction, ensuring capital projects are executed on time and on budget.  The Manager of Engineering will communicate with our client’s business development team and customers to ensure they are satisfied with all services being provided. The Manager of Engineering is also responsible for overseeing the training and career development of the project and operations engineers, ensuring technical training support for field personnel, and educating the office staff on technical topics. The position will sit in our client’s corporate office in Denver.


Qualifications & Requirements


The Manager of Engineering position requires an extremely strong hands-on operational, design and project management background in natural gas handling from compression to natural gas processing.


It requires a thorough understanding of operational procedures, unique attributes of gas transportation, both on road and in pipeline, engineering principles associated with gas facility design including mobilized processing and treating, and a driven focus on job organization and documentation, while being able to transfer this knowledge to all engineers and key field leadership.


Management of the engineering team requires a dynamic and pragmatic managerial style. Successful relationships with consultants and customers require transparency and trust.


Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/chemical/petroleum) with an emphasis in facilities required.


5 plus years in oil & gas facilities management desired.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


·        Manages the engineering groups, including Operation Engineers, Project Engineers, Project Management and consulting Engineers and external Engineering Firms.

·        Oversees our client’s engineering responsibilities.

·        Works with our client’s Operations management.

·        Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals, such as objective or purpose of project applications that can be used from findings, costs of

project, and equipment and human resource requirements.

·        Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data, and analysis.

·        Selects, develops, trains all new hire engineers.

·        Develops, determines, and implements policies, procedures, and programs.

·        Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.

·        Works with the manufacturing, operations and quality manager, reviews, and monitors quality & process improvements and new equipment development.

·        Directs the review of production costs and service quality.

·        Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain engineering requirements to develop new markets.

SALARY & BENEFITS

 

Target Salary – 175K

20% Annual Bonus
