DESCRIPTION:
We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager and contributing to the design, development, and implementation of mining equipment projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this individual will ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting client requirements, and upholding industry standards.
As a Project Engineer within the Lake Shore division, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
• Lead the design and engineering efforts for mining equipment projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate components and systems seamlessly.
• Engage with clients to understand technical requirements and offer expert guidance.
• Manage the procurement process, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of equipment to ensure performance and reliability.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including field technicians and customers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to enhance project outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• 3 or more years of experience in project management/project engineering, focusing on equipment design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing the design and operation of mining equipment is advantageous.
