One of the largest and longest-tenured owner, operator, and developer uniquely focused on collaborative office, retail and industrial properties in North America and Europe is seeking a Senior Accountant in its Dallas office. The incumbent will be a college graduate with experience in CRE accounting and technical US GAAP Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting for the assigned portfolio of commercial real estate properties such as:

o  Analyze Property Income Statements and Balance Sheets’ monthly trends

o  Prepare tenant recovery and rental revenue variance explanations

o  Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers/supporting schedules

o  Compile stand-alone reporting package for management review

o  Perform monthly bank reconciliations

o  Record monthly journal entries

o  Review and approve property related invoices

• Assist with the acquisition and sales analysis and coordinate with Legal and Asset Services to ensure timely review of closing statements
• Prepare quarterly and annual debt compliance packages
• Participate in ad-hoc projects such as process improvement projects, internal and external audit requests, department goals and initiatives, and other special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 3+ years of accounting experience

o  Public Accounting experience is highly preferred

o  Public commercial real estate experience preferred

• Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
• Experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting
• JD Edwards Accounting software experience
