Our client is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a position in Sarasota, FL. You will work with various diverse disciplines within the company, such as Engineers, Clinical Specialists, Product Management, Procurement, and internal QA to drive supplier quality. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews design outputs, test procedures, and quality results to understand products' scope, requirements, and function
• Ensures products meet quality and product integrity requirements
• Provide supplier assessments and conducting readiness reviews
• Assists in the development of new & existing suppliers by improving their quality management system
• Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and facilitates corrective measures.
• Identify trends in product quality or defects to mitigate and prevent recurrence and future defects.
• Manages initial sample/part approval inspection process
• Helps ensure processes are adequately established and maintained to meet all regulatory, business, and quality requirements related to product assessments.
• Review, revise and release procedures as required
• Support Internal Audits as applicable
• Address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement in working relationships
• Performs periodic assessments & on-site audits at suppliers
• Active role in the supplier warranty program

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years experience supplier quality function
• 5+ years experience working in an ISO9001 Quality system
• Experience in internal and external audit support
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or pertinent technical discipline
• Proficiency with Microsoft software required.
• Travel expectancy 35%, remote work 20%.

PREFERRED

• Proficient in Salesforce and QPulse
• Skilled in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Electronics and circuit board assembly quality experience
