Backend Software Engineer (Remote)

Blackmere Consulting is looking to fill a position on behalf of our client — a business where innovators and doers gather in order to drive significant progress in population genomics. They have come together to work at the intersection of clinical care, research, and genomics. This could be the perfect place for you if you want to make a meaningful impact and join a team that prides itself on driving innovation through fostering a work environment that emphasizes empowering one other to continually learn and grow.

Our client's end-to-end population genomics platform enables health systems, life sciences companies, and payers to advance genomic research and accelerate the integration of genomic data into routine clinical care. They support all aspects of population genomics from recruitment to translational research and help our partners use genomics to improve health outcomes, increase patient engagement, and lower costs. Some of the world's leading health systems use their population genomics platform to power the world’s largest and fastest-growing population genomics initiatives.

For the COVID-19 public health crisis, our client has built one of the nation’s largest COVID diagnostic labs and has been on the leading edge of national viral surveillance efforts tracking B.1.1.7 and other viral strains.

The person in this role will work with the genomics platform and lab systems team, where you'll work together to translate the scientific piece for clients. You will also work with algorithms to help clients run scenarios based on their specific genome.
