Accountant/Office Manager

Nicosia, CYP

A Prestigious International Company with a significant presence in the Oil and Gas Industry as well as Research and Development is looking for an Office Manager/Accountant for its Cyprus Office. 

You will be part of a two-person operation in Cyprus, but a bigger group in itself. The position will require, periodic traveling to Vienna, Austria. 

Financial Administration Duties

  • Coordinate all accounting and financial requirements with the accounting firm
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and monitor expenditures
  • Support all accounting operations including Billing, A/R. A/P. GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue recognition
  • Assist and liaise in the preparation of the Budget and Financial Statements (monthly reporting and annual preparation)
  • Updating suppliers statements
  • Preparation of weekly Payment lists and weekly Bank reconciliations
  • Maintain the Asset register
  • Other ad-hoc activities as required

Office Management

  • Control the tidiness of Office premises
  • Control inventory and equipment of Office

General Administration and HR duties

  • Standard General administration duties
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and printing
  • Registering, stamping and filing of all incoming/outgoing documents of the Companies
  • Manage daily incoming mail and courier items
  • Manage document registers

Qualifications, Educational and Skills Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Financial Accounting, Management would be considered an advantage
  • 5 years of working experience in a relevant position is preferred
  • English language proficiency both in writing and speaking is a must
  • The German Language would be considered an advantage
  • Microsoft Office applications experience (outlook, excel, word, powerpoint)
