The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in Axiom’s Finance department. A full array of financial responsibilities are charged to this position including; processing all accounts receivable and accounts payable, creating client contracts, as well as processing all employee expense reimbursements.


Finance Responsibilities:

· Manage day-to-day processing of A/R and A/P using QuickBooks, produce reports as requested by management

· Manage customer contracts & balances in Axiom’s client management portal (Autotask)

· Post detailed entries into QuickBooks

· Research and resolve accounts receivable issues with clients; provide client account statements, reach out for status of payments; record notes in system to document steps taken and follow-up steps/reminders

· Enter all employee expenses from Autotask, obtain manager approval of expenses, transfer entries into QuickBooks

· Process expense reimbursement checks for all employees

· Process and enter all vendor invoices

· Maintain vendor files and contracts; prepare year-end 1099 filings

· Keep clear and open communications with the Finance Manager and CFO

· Collaborate on all process and protocol improvements to Finance department tasks

· Respond to customer and supplier inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

· Meet regularly with management and provide support as needed

General Responsibilities:

· Determine and create necessary procedures to streamline internal operations and ensuring consistency and scalability

· Attend Axiom training and all-staff meetings

· Administrative responsibilities will include ordering office and kitchen supplies, and other similar tasks

· Additional tasks assigned by managers as needed

· Strong written communication skills to participate and assist in the creation of comprehensive documentation of accounting processes

· Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues and clients

Technical Skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Advanced Excel capabilities

· Experience with QuickBooks

· Experience with Autotask or similar systems is preferred


· Strong background and work experience in Accounting

· College graduate with either Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Experience with ticket management system preferred

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

· Highly dependable and organized
